Il Fondo Notarile
Il Fondo Notarile è uno dei importanti elementi dell'Archivio storico di San Gemini ; contiene un notevole numero di "bastardelli", i quaderni tenuti dai notai dove scrivevano gli estremi degli atti che poi venivano ricopiati in forma ufficiale nei registri dei collegi notarili.
Questa collezione ha avuto poca attenzione da parte degli studiosi e si può considerare materiale vergine da un punto di vista di storico, ciò è dovuto in parte alla difficile lettura in quanto il latino con cui sono scritti è spesso in forma abbreviata.
Sfortunatamente, considerate le limitate risorse al momento disponibili questa parte dell'archivio sarà digitalizzata fra vari anni. L'unico documento notarile già digitalizzato e il Bastardello di Giovanni di Ser Ludovico (1388-1389) che proviene dal l'archivio storico di Stroncone (TR). Questo manoscritto contiene i più antichi documenti pubblici del Comune di San Gemini

The "Fondo Notarile" (notary records) are an important component of the City of San Gemini Historic Archives; they hold mostly information about sales of property, inheritances, and business transactions. The collection is composed by a substantial number of "bastardelli" the notebooks where local notaries wrote their description of the acts; these would then be transcribed in the official registries kept by the College of Notaries (professional association).
This set of important documents have had little scholarly attention and are to a great extent virgin historical material, in part due to the difficulty to read and interpret since most are Latin manuscripts in abbreviated form.
Unfortunately given the limited resources available at the moment it will be some time before this material will be digitized. The only digitized notary records are the notebooks of Giovanni di Ser Ludovico (1388-1389) kept in the historic archives of the city of Stroncone (TR). These documents are the oldest set of Public records from the city of San Gemini in existence.
