Il registro C36 raccoglie le riformanze (delibere) del comune di San Gemini per alcuni anni dalla fine del 1300 all'inizio del 1400. La prima data leggibile è il 26 ottobre, 1398 l'ultima è del 28 Gennaio.1403. Questo e il più antico dei registri delle riformanze conservate nell'archivio storico ed offre una interessante finestra alla storia di San Gemini nella fine del medioevo.

Nella collezione delle riformanze  del ASCSG vi è una lacuna di 154 anni a partire dal 1403 fino al 1537. Non si conosce la ragione, si ipotizza che forse si sono perse durante il saccheggio della città da parte dei Lanzichenecchi nel 1527 o pure durante l'incendio della sede del comune a Palazzo vecchio nel 1700.

Il registro è stato restaurato nel 2015, il che ha reso possibile la digitalizzazione del contenuto. Delle prime 15 carte restano solo piccoli framenti ma dalla carta numero 16 in poi il testo e abbastanza completo eccetto alcuni scolorimenti. Il restauro è consistito nello smontaggio del registro, il restauro di tutte le carte, la rilegatura delle carte con nuovo filo e la costruzione di una nuova copertina usando parte del materiale originale. Il rimanente materiale rivenuto dalla copertina è conservato assieme al registro, fra questo si trovano vari antichi framenti di manoscritto.

L'obiettivo principale della digitalizzazione è di render il manoscritti leggibili e facilmente consultabili dagli studiosi di storia; la forma, proporzioni o la colorazione delle carte non sono riprodotte in maniera esatta.

In aggiunta pubblichiamo la Tesi di laurea della Dott.ssa Arianna Piteri Il Comune di San Gemini da Alcuni Frammenti di Riformanze (SEC. XIV E XV) Scritta in base ad uno studio delle riformanze nel Registro  C36 (1398-1403). In questa  tesi viene presentato il quadro storico di San Gemine alla fine 1300/ innizio del 1400 e vari aspetti della vita cittadina che sono annotati nelle riformamze .

Register C36

Register C36 holds the record of the meetings, decrees and local laws made by the city council of San Gemini for a few years at the end of the 13th century and start of the 15th. The first dated page of this register is recorded on October 26 1398 the last one of January 28, 1403. This register holds the oldest city records in the San Gemini Historic Archives and gives us an interesting window into the history of San Gemini at the end of the middle ages.

In 2015 the register was restored, which has allowed us to digitize the content. The restoration involved the dismantling of the tome,  restoration and cleaning of all paper sheets, the rebinding with new string and the reconstruction of the cover using some of the original material. The remaining material from the cover are being conserved along with the register and include fragments of older manuscript that were used to make the original binding.

The primary of objective of this digitization is to render the text legible and accessible to historians, the page size, proportions and coloration portrayed in this digital images are not accurate.

In addition we publish the Laurea thesis by  Doctor.Arianna Piteri. The City of San Gemini from some Fragments of the city council's records (14th-15th Centuries). It was written based on the study of Registro C36 (1398-1403), In this thesis is presented a general historical setting of the city at the turn of 14th-15th Centuries and a series of aspects of city life as  they are noted in the city records.
