Il registro C38 raccoglie le riformanze (delibere) del Comune di San Gemini per alcuni anni del 1500; la prima data che si trova nel registro C38 è il 6 agosto 1551, l'ultima è il primo aprile 1564 . Questo registro contiene vari elementi: all'inizio del registro si trovana un foglio sciolto di note(1 carta), un indice manoscritto in italiano aggiunto forse nell'800 (9 carte) e poi un taccuino che contiene una lista di spese separate in ordine alfabetico (23 carte). Questi elementi all'inizio del registro non hanno una loro numerazione perciò gli è stata data una numerazione separata in numeri romani allo scopo di ordinare le immagini digitali. L'elemento principale del registro sono le riformanze (392 carte). Il registro contiene in tutto 425 carte e perciò 850 pagine.
Le pagine digitalizzate portano in fondo una targhetta con il numero della pagina composto dalla segnatura del del registro. dal numero della carta e dal lato della carta recto o verso( r, v); per esempio la prima pagina è numerata C38-c.1r l'ultima pagina è C37-c.392v. Le pagine nell'indice hanno una numerazione simile ma con numeri romani. La prima pagina è C38-cIr l'ultima è C38-cXIXv. Tutte le pagine incluso quelle bianche sono state fotografate.
Il dorso di questo registro ha una etichetta numerata CIII ma noi usiamo la segnatura corrente C38. Nel registri si trovano varie numerazioni che sono state usate nel tempo. Sarebbe interessante fare uno studio che ricostruisca l'evoluzione di questo archivio.

Register C38 holds the record of the meetings, decrees and local laws made by the city council of San Gemini for a few years in the 16th Century. The first dated page of this register is recorded on August 6, 1551 the last one of April 1st., 1564.
Register C38 is composed by various elements in the front there are: a loose sheet of notes (1 carta), an index written in Italian perhaps added in the 19th Century (9 cartas) and a tabbed notebook with what appears to be a list of expenses (23 cartas); these elements in the front of the register are not numerated so we provided a separate numeration in Roman numerals for the purpose of ordering the digital images. The main body of the register is made up by the "riformanze" (392 carte). In Italian each leaf of the register is referred as a "carta", each has two sides (pages) therefore the register contains in total 425 cartas and therefore 850 pages.
Each digitized page has a label at the bottom with the number of each page which is composed of the number of the register, the carta number and the side recto or verso (r or v) for exaple the first page is numbered C38, c1r the last page C38, c392v. The first page in the index is numbered C38 cI r the last page C38 XIXv . All pages including blank pages have been digitized
The register has the number CIII on a label pasted on its back cover; we are using now the current numeration C38. In these registers one finds various numerations that have been used over the years it would be interesting to do a study that reconstructs the history of this archive.
